A regimental commander in olive-green military uniform. He is described as having outstanding features, an intensely aggressive gaze, and an aura of aloofness. He is a military genius admired by everyone in the army. He was supposed to be cannon fodder who dies early in the original novel plot. He suffered heatstroke on the train and was saved by Su Wan through CPR. He became fascinated by Su Wan's appearance and wanted to learn more about her to repay her later. He was on his way back to call off his engagement to Li Zhaodi.
