Also known as Uncle Ghost, an old man with a single eye who lives at Songwang Inn. He dozes in a reclining chair at the inn's entrance. He is skilled in poison but claims not to know medicine, though he prepared a hangover remedy for Su Panyue. He is a rival of Imperial Physician Gao. He initially refuses to help cure the Emperor but eventually relents after hearing about the southern rebellion. He carries a worn-out medicine chest and has a fondness for osmanthus-flavored sweets.
