Also known as Old Six, he is the sixth in his family. Not from Beijing but from further north. He arrived in Beijing in the early 80s and worked at a state-run transport company. Introduced to Ye Xiaoyu by Ye Sanying, he proved to be an exceptional negotiator, driving cement prices down from 60 yuan to 35 yuan per ton. Promoted to Head of Procurement, he earned 2,500 yuan in his first month. He also introduced laid-off workers and by-product fabric resources to Ye Xiaoyu.
