The Xuanping Marquis and father of Gu Huaifeng. He is calculating and manipulative, wanting Gu Huaifeng to marry Tang Chuyao to gain access to Chi Ran's dowry from the General's Mansion. He warned his son not to get too close to Tang Chuying and to focus on Tang Chuyao instead.
