Male lead, Zhu Zhixi's fiancé of over twenty years and childhood sweetheart. He is handsome, wears gold-rimmed glasses, and comes from a wealthy family (referred to as Young Master Gu). He has been doting on Zhu Zhixi in the past but has grown distant and now has another woman, Wen Yuqing. He is dismissive of Zhu Zhixi's attempts to leave him, assuming she is just throwing tantrums. He is also sworn enemies with Xie Jin.
