Also called Old Man Gu or Grandfather, the patriarch of the Gu family. He is the father of Gu Qishan and stepfather of Gu Dashan. He favored his second branch and divided the family land unfairly, giving only three acres to the eldest branch after assuming Gu Mingxiao had died.
