Male antagonist and Xiao Fuguang's husband, a general with military achievements. He had an affair with his widowed brother's wife Zhuang Linan at the border while his own brother Gu Shan was still alive. He and Zhuang Linan conspired to have the entire Xiao family executed after Gu Chuan achieved fame and success. He returned to the capital partly to receive rewards and partly to dump Zhuang Linan's children on Xiao Fuguang. He is described as having sword-like eyebrows and starry eyes. He threatens Xiao Fuguang with the safety of her maternal family during their confrontation.
