He speaks with sarcasm toward Pei Xiao, advising him to go back and comfort his wife properly rather than acting unreasonable. He appears to have a close relationship with both Pei Xiao and Jiang Yu, having previously warned Jiang Yu about her leg injury. He chants Amitabha and offers pointed commentary on Pei Xiao's marital troubles.
