Chen's father, a Grand Preceptor (Prime Minister) with white frost-like hair, chrysanthemum-like wrinkles on his face, and a white beard. He appears as an otherworldly transcendent immortal on the surface but is revealed to be a malicious fiend. He slapped Chen twice in public to save face. He has a dark secret: due to his impotence, he tortured and killed numerous young girls, with his Madame complicit in the crimes. At least forty corpses are buried under a peach blossom tree in his garden.
