Father of Cui Ziying and husband of Madam Qin. He is one of just two families outside the Li imperial line on the royal register. He is known to be upright and loyal to the throne, refusing to side with any prince. In history, he died from recurring old injuries within the first two years of Li Yuanshen's reign.
