Female antagonist. Gao Pei's mother. She confronted Tian Man at her street corner sewing stall after accidentally receiving one of Gao Pei's letters. She angrily accused Tian Man of trying to ruin her son's future, criticizing her family background and telling her not to date a university student. She could not accept that her educated son might be involved with someone like Tian Man. She directed all her anger at Tian Man since she could not scold her son at university.
