Female supporting character, Lu Shaoye's mother, anxious and desperate during the wedding. She initially tries to persuade Jiang Qinglu to forgive her son, claiming Jiang Qinglu is cursed and cannot bear children. She becomes venomous when she realizes Jiang Qinglu is truly determined to leave. She wails curses after Jiang Qinglu departs, calling her a barren hen. She had hoped to trap Jiang Qinglu in the Lu household forever to work herself to death for them.
