Male lead, Prince Regent, paralyzed in both legs with severe bipolar disorder. His face is half breathtakingly beautiful (work of goddess Nüwa) and half resembles a demon with burns. He is cruel at the beginning of the novel, could shatter teeth or flay skin with slightest displeasure. He suffers from anorexia, vomiting what he eats and often smashing bowls. He has intense love for sweets and is addicted to sugar. He suspects assassination attempts and sent a spy to his doorstep.
