The male protagonist of the novel. He snatched Shen Shuyi away from Lu Shiyu. He is described as constantly humiliating and trampling on Lu Shiyu through his troublesome entanglements. In the original plot, he ruins Su Zhi's family, drives them into bankruptcy, and is responsible for the tragic endings of multiple characters. He has not physically appeared in these chapters.
