Also called Shen Laosi, the fourth son of the Shen family who married Tang Yumei. He is suspected by Shen Baizhi of stealing the family's grain rations. He swore he had nothing to do with the burglary and argued against reporting to the police, suggesting supernatural involvement instead. He promised Tang Yumei one egg daily and compensation in other ways.
