Also known as Magistrate Feng, he is a Registrar (Zhubu) sent by the County Magistrate to oversee the river work. He is a scholar who initially dismisses Taohua's dream as superstitious nonsense. He leads the villagers into the river and is caught in the whirlpool. After being rescued by Qin Feng, he becomes deeply grateful and humble, bowing to the young couple. He offers Qin Feng a position at the county office as a laborer responsible for carriages and horses, with potential to become a constable, but Qin Feng declines.
