Also known as Grandma Fang or Madam Fang, Chen Shuyin's maternal grandmother who raised her. She lives in Tanzhu near Sishui Alley. Her own daughter (Chen Shuyin's mother) ran off with another man and had a child. She is full of energy, chatty, and deeply cares about Chen Shuyin's happiness, wanting her to have her own home. She once rescued Pei Yu when he was beaten up on Sishui Alley and made him steamed egg custard. She has a close relationship with Pei Yu, having met him before meeting Chen Shuyin.
