Fang Yuan's mother, married to Xu Dajiang. She is a low-key person but proud of her outstanding daughter. She works at the factory and has two sons, Da Mao and Xiao Mao. After Fang Yuan's father died, she went into premature labor at eight months pregnant but was saved by Fang Zhiyuan. She has a youngest daughter (Fang Yuan's little sister) who remains in the countryside under the grandmother's care.
