Also known as Lord Fang, he is the patriarch of the Fang family and father of Fang Zhan and Fang Kun. In his youth he was a spendthrift who indulged in pleasure, and in old age he is described as reckless. He is the one who brought back his former mistress under the pretext of the concubine's accusation. He refuses to agree to the family separation but is too cautious to act rashly given the emperor's attention.
