Antagonist, a greasy man in a freshly laundered white shirt with hair slicked down with cheap pomade. In the original novel plot, Zhu Mingyue was supposed to fall for him, divorce Gu Yanzhou, and follow him to another city—only to be swindled of all her money and sold to human traffickers. He colluded with Zhu Pan'er to trap Zhu Mingyue by spreading false rumors that she had confessed feelings for him. He attempted to grab Zhu Mingyue's chest when she was attacking Zhu Pan'er, but Gu Yanzhou grabbed his wrist and nearly broke it. Described as ugly, broke, and short by Zhu Mingyue.
