The late Empress and mother of Qi Ranran. She was born into a merchant family wealthy enough to rival the throne. Before her death, she left her daughter Qi Ranran a talisman of protection containing one hundred thousand taels of gold. She died when Qi Ranran was fourteen, and her last words were for her daughter to live on.
