A historical emperor of the Han Dynasty whose example was followed by Emperor Taizong of the Da Xuan Dynasty. He left an edict on his deathbed allowing childless consorts to leave the palace and remarry. He is referenced as a historical precedent for the openness regarding consort remarriage.
