The Emperor of Yue and father of Bai Ze. He fell in love with Consort Rong (the Holy Maiden of the Wizard Clan) after being rescued when he strayed into the mountains. He was enraged when Consort Ling poisoned Consort Rong, personally executing her and subjecting her to flaying and dismemberment. He exiled Consort Ling's entire clan of a hundred relatives to Lingnan to mine. He also purged every consort who had ever spoken disrespectfully, mocked, or bullied Consort Rong. The grief turned his temples white overnight, a tragedy the world lamented for years. This incident became known as the 'Wrath of the Son of Heaven'.
