An educated youth who taught at the brigade school but had been increasingly careless and distracted in class. He was described as a freeloader who tried to marry into Accountant Sun's family by chatting with the accountant's wife. He failed because Accountant Sun's wife lost interest due to newer educated youths arriving. He eventually went to the commune and married into a woman's family there.
