Also known as Old Master Duan, he is the Duan family patriarch and Duan Jinhuai's grandfather. He is a formidable elder who dotes on his eldest grandson Duan Jinhuai. He was angry upon hearing about the flash marriage but ultimately compromised. He gave Duan Jinhuai a red envelope and agreed to protect Su Qingtan from disturbances while Duan Jinhuai travels to the southern region.
