The mother-in-law of Jiang Jiuyue, an old woman in her fifties or sixties. She is vicious, abusive, and holds the highest authority in the household despite her low status. She mistreats Jiang Jiuyue and her daughters, forcing them to work like slaves. She beat Jiang Jiuyue severely for hiding a steamed bun to feed her starving children, causing the original owner's death.
