Du Hua, also known as Sister Du Hua, is a supporting character who lives across the road from Song Nanting's courtyard. She is friendly and informative, approaching Song Nanting with a basket while the protagonist is working in the yard. Du Hua shares local gossip and important information about their neighbors, particularly about Lan Da'niang's family situation. She explains that the elderly woman brings up her eldest son's children and that Wei Daqiang has four children, which is why there are so many people in the family. She reveals that Lan Da'niang is a master at making scenes and crying until people agree with her, and that she was worried Song Nanting would have her family chased out after the Zhao Hongying incident. Du Hua also compliments Song Nanting on defeating Zhao Hongmei and her sister.
