A member of the Dou family who half a year ago beat Kang Xuan for alleged theft, causing Kang Xuan to be expelled from the academy and his leg to be broken. He had won a pair of jade-and-glass pendants at a poetry gathering, which were then framed as being found on Kang Xuan.
