Dongshan
Male supporting character. He is a retainer in General Situ's household whose sole role is to listen to the general's personal and family matters. He has no involvement in politics or military affairs and exists only to hear all of General Situ's absurd ideas, acting like an ancient version of a psychologist. Despite his high status in the household, he has little personal freedom because he knows too many of General Situ's secrets that could never be revealed to outsiders. Leaving would mean death. He serves as a confidant for the general, who has a strong desire to share his thoughts with someone, especially after doing morally or legally questionable things.
