Wife of the Third Battalion Commander. A small, round-faced southern woman, forty years old, seven years older than her husband. She was a seamstress back home and makes clothes for everyone on the island in her free time. She has three children: Niu Chengshi (8), Niu Lili (7), and Niu Qiangzhuang (over 1 year old).
