Referred to as Uncle Deng, he is a servant or attendant of the Xiao family. His face is scarred, and he harbors disdain for the Qi family due to past grievances when they forced the old madam to release people and Qi Lanzi banged her head to insist on leaving. He grabbed Madam Qi and roughly pushed the Qi family out the door, and later seized Madam Qi when Old Madam Xiao called for him.
