A boy who works at the Office of the Jitian Magistrate, taking over all of the protagonist's duties. He works diligently every day without shirking or complaining. The protagonist finds him simple and honest-looking, unable to see any slyness in his face, though the protagonist internally notes that appearances can be deceiving and references someone who would one day sneak across Yinping.
