A famous ballet instructor who has performed abroad many times. She is in her thirties or forties, unmarried, and keeps to herself with a strange temper. She lives in an old residential complex where she is being harassed by her upstairs neighbor, Old Lady Yang, whose noisy morning routine drives Dai Lihua to near nervous breakdown. Dai Lihua refuses to give lessons to Mrs. Meng's daughter despite multiple visits.
