She has a long-standing grudge against the Ning family because her daughter Cuihua/Cuicui failed to marry into the Ning family years ago. She mocked Old Madam Ning and questioned whether the radio was genuinely from Ning You. She is described as someone who would even steal chopsticks and is universally disliked.
