Female, Cosimo's mother. She worked in a Chinese opera troupe and traveled to Sicily on a cultural exchange trip in spring 1988. She had a kind heart and treated Cosimo's father's wounds, drove off his pursuers, and hid him from the police risking collective punishment. She already had a fiancé back in China and remained unmoved by Cosimo's father's tricks. She was eventually imprisoned on the island by Cosimo's father.
