The father of Jing Hongyi and Jing Xiaoyi, and Pu Jiaojiao's husband. He is a constable, a somewhat respected figure. He saved Pu Jiaojiao from a lecher at a temple, leading to their marriage. He left on a long assignment shortly after the wedding, without consummating the marriage. He is unreliable and absent, leaving the children neglected.
