Also known as Elder Shen, he is the father of Shen Shurong and head of the Commandery Prince household. He initially wanted his daughter to marry the heir Xie Yunzheng for family prestige but ultimately agreed to the compromise of marrying her to Xie Yunzhao to save her life.
