Male supporting character, Chu Xuyun's father. He is a cultivator with sharp eyes like an eagle and can sense demonic energy. He prefers his son to pursue an official career rather than cultivation and often scolds Chu Xuyun. He is thrifty and clean, living simply in a thatched cottage. He is warm to outsiders like Yu Xiao but disdainful toward his own son. He initially did not approve of Chu Xuyun leaving home to cultivate.
