The grandfather of Chu Yu who built the family fortune. He raised Chu Yu after his parents abandoned him. He is currently living alone in the Chu family old residence. He has a strained relationship with Chu Xun, having only met him twice. He feels pity and guilt toward Chu Yu. He attempts to mediate between Chu Yu and his parents during family gatherings.
