Female protagonist, an educated youth who sells food at the black market to earn money. She was previously pushed into a river by Zeng Lin and rescued by Gu Yin, who later became her husband. She is kind-hearted, protective of the village children, and proves her innocence by producing a red hairpin as evidence. She becomes a language teacher at Tianyu Village Elementary School. She is proactive in advocating for girls' education and discusses this with team leader Lin Weiguo.
