Supporting character. The Daduizhang (team leader) of the village and Chu Youhuan's biological father. He is tall and burly with a dark face. Recently his attitude toward his daughter had taken a sharp turn for the worse due to her behavior in the novel's plot, but blood is still thicker than water as the Chu family is famously protective of their own. He deeply regrets driving Huanhuan out to work in a fit of anger and is heartbroken seeing his daughter in a pitiful state. He is anxious and caring, nearly shedding tears in public when he hears about possible brain injury.
