The founding emperor of the Great Zhao dynasty. He rose with Shao Manjiang to resist foreign invaders after the Song court collapsed. They swore brotherhood at Jiuhua Mountain, and Chu Shiying founded the dynasty at Chong'an. He swore an oath that if his descendants ever mistreated the Shao family, the throne would pass to them.
