Also known as Second Uncle Chu, he is a middle-aged man in his thirties with dark skin, not tall but very sturdy. He is Chu Xun's second uncle and a carpenter with half-baked skills. He went to the city to do hard labor to earn money for Chu Xun's medical treatment but was driven out. He detoured into the woods to pick firewood and found bird eggs to nourish Chu Xun. He is deeply concerned about the family's debt and feels guilty for not being able to treat all the children equally.
