A wealthy boy of about six or seven years old, son of the deceased woman from the Shen Residence. He is desperate to save his dying mother and offers silver to anyone who will help. After his mother passes, he hires Zhang Jinlan to carry the corpse. He is shown as grief-stricken yet also filled with hatred toward the concubine in his family who refuses to help.
