He is a renowned scholar who owns Yixing Bookstore in the south city of the capital. He lives in an alley behind the bookstore. He is warm-hearted toward Shi Buyu and advises her on business matters, suggesting she create a refined entertainment venue rather than a brothel. He agrees to find talented people for her business.
