Chen Xiaowen is a supporting character, the wife of Zhou Shu and daughter-in-law of Li Fenghua. She is referred to as Ms. Xiaowen or Xiao Wen. She married Zhou Shu young after becoming pregnant, but lost the baby due to a fall while working in the fields. Since then, they have had no children. Xiaowen is described as not beautiful but good enough for her husband. She believes her husband is doing grand things and earning big money, despite his minimal contributions. During the fight, she helps her mother-in-law Li Fenghua by covering her exposed backside with her outer garment. Xiaowen is shocked by Jingxi's actions and initially stays silent before rushing to assist her mother-in-law.
