A young boy and the son of one of the village women washing clothes at the river. He initially cried when his mother gave her candy to Shen Nian, claiming it was bought by his grandma. He insisted on giving the candy to Shen Nian himself rather than having it given without his permission. He played with Shen Nian and the other children at the river, helping wash clothes though they got their sleeves wet in the process.
