Originally named Chen Er Gou, Master Fan deemed the original name unfit for a refined scholar and gave him the courtesy name Qing Shan. He is the thinnest boy among the four, dressed in a long thin robe. He recited the entire Thousand Character Classic without hesitation and was the best performer among the group.
