The protagonist, a 58-year-old woman who spent her entire life devoted to her husband Xu Yi. She came from a well-off family in the county town, was spoiled like a princess with an elder brother and sister. She fell in love with Xu Yi at first sight in high school and devoted three years of pathetic devotion to him. She gave up her college entrance exam, cared for his entire family, donated part of her liver to save Xu Cong (who turned out not to be her biological son), and died betrayed by everyone she loved. She was reborn back to her high school days.
