Ping'an's granduncle, Chen Laoye's youngest brother. He was one of only two Students from the Southern Chen Family. He wrote a petition on behalf of his late wife Meng's maternal niece, who died unnaturally three days after wedding in the Northern Chen family. He was stripped of his Student status by the Education Circuit Intendant on charges of 'instigating litigation for personal gain.' This caused the relationship between the two Chen family branches to plunge to a historic low.
